The Little Travelling Bookshop

Ruby, our 1964 Citroen H van is travelling to you, popping up at fairs, festivals, markets and in communities and at schools across Scotland.

The Bookshop

Small but perfectly formed, we sell fiction and non-fiction books, from a diverse selection of authors on a range of different subject matters. We also sell cakes, drinks and small gifts all sourced from Scottish producers.

Events

Our bookshop acts as a unique venue for author talks, book clubs, launches and signings.

Giving Back

As we’re selling new, printed books, we’re conscious of the impact that this has on the planet. For that reason, we’re working to ensure that we’re carbon neutral by donating a percentage of our profits to organisations that replant trees.

Our Founder

After a series of life changing events, our founder, Becca, sought solace in books. Her desire to learn from other peoples’ experiences and connect more deeply with herself, led her to think about how she could continue this cycle of learning from books and sharing with others. Becca plans to travel as far and as wide as she can with The Little Travelling Bookshop - to places where people want to gather and chat or simply to sit down in a comfy chair with a good cup of coffee and read books that affirm their beliefs, or challenge their perceptions, or build their empathy. To escape, and to journey to far off lands and find different perspectives.
